Steve is the true global mining journeyman.
Upon graduating with a degree in Engineering (BEng) from Lakehead University in Canada in 1998, Steve jumped straight into diamond drilling, working as an assistant and then driller for 2 years before moving onto the Geology Crew at Musselwhite carrying out collar layouts and pickups both surface and underground, including use of the maxibore RMI for Placer Dome. Arriving in Australia in 2004, Steve initially worked as a Mine Surveyor; he then accepted a position as a Drill and Blast Engineer which then evolved into a role as a Mine Planning and Production Engineer on the Paddington Mine Site. Steve then moved into consulting and has since either led or played a major support role for projects around the globe carrying out all levels of mining and feasibility studies with various commodities.
Steve also holds a Diploma in Project Management, and being French Canadian is fluent in both English and French languages.
